The Office of First Year Programs is looking to recruit FYE instructors from the Division of Student Affairs for next fall. The Office of First Year Programs has a goal each year to have enough seats for every first year student, which is always a challenge; however, they have been able to serve 9/10 first year students over the course of the year.
There are many opportunities in the UNIV 1800 course for staff to teach with a highly talented FYE mentor. The classes have less than 19 students and the Office of First Year Programs provides curricular and administrative support for instructors. The qualifications are typically a Master’s degree although the Office of First Year Programs can entertain staff without the degree as long as they have significant teaching experience.
