Through our partnership with the Orientation Office, 92% of incoming Freshman submitted their photo for their UConn One Card online. The online photo submission feature has been a success making the orientation process flow smoother and saving time.
Freshman students no longer have to come to the One Card Office to have a photo taken, saving them a stop after they have already toured the campus, enduring the many different weather conditions, as has been the norm in the past. We have hit the “selfie” generation and many students find the online photo submission a great option.
The One Card Office, with the help of the Orientation Office, sent out reminders to incoming students to continue to upload their photos throughout the summer even if they missed their orientation deadline. This will help them avoid having to wait in long lines in August. During move-in weekend the One Card Office will have a One Card pick up station located in the Wilbur Cross South Reading Room (Saturday, August 29th and Sunday, August 30th 12pm-4pm) for all students who have successfully uploaded their photo but have not yet received their One Cards.
A great job was done by all, making the online photo submission feature a success, thus expediting the orientation sessions and giving students the convenience of uploading a “selfie” of their choice. Our next goal is to expand this feature to new Faculty and Staff, so stay tuned!
