SUMMER AMERICORP SPOTS AVAILABLE
Interested in earning an education award while helping kids prepare for kindergarten? The UConn Jumpstart program is offering a unique summer placement in the program!
Jumpstart is a national early education organization that recruits and trains college students to work with children in preschool classrooms. Participants inspire young children to learn, provide needed support to classrooms, and build professional skills all while having fun!
Be part of a team that is closing the achievement gap by equipping our preschoolers with the language and literacy skills they need for success in kindergarten and beyond. Join us to work toward the day every child in America enters kindergarten prepared to succeed.
All selected participants will receive training prior to classroom service and receive an education award of $1,212 upon completion of 300 hours of service. Interested candidates should be residing near Windham, Vernon, New Haven or New Britain from May – August.
