The University of Connecticut is committed and obligated under federal and state laws and regulations to provide equal access in full participation for individuals with disabilities within all University programs and activities. The University has policies and processes related to accommodating individuals with disabilities, all of which contribute to promoting a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone. It is important to be aware of the processes as well as the roles and responsibilities at the University regarding accommodations.
The Office of Institutional Equity and The Compliance Office worked together to create a training video explaining accessibility policies and processes at UConn. This latest “Compliance Clips” episode, entitled the “Roadmap to Accessibility at UConn,” will teach you about the various resources that are available for individuals with disabilities and also what to do if you receive a request from an individual with a disability seeking an accommodation.
This brief video is available at: https://audit.uconn.edu/compliance-clips-animated-video-series/.
You’ll also find an accompanying resource guide that lists key accessibility resources here.
