Student Health and Wellness (SHaW) along with Undergraduate Student Government (USG) have entered a partnership with JED Campus to assess and enhance mental health promotion and substance abuse and suicide prevention efforts. The program’s mission is aimed at increasing students’ wellbeing.
UConn’s partnership with JED Campus will enable us to take a closer look at current strengths, potential gaps, areas of improvement, and campus programming as they relate to the overall well-being of our students. Throughout the four-year commitment, JED will assist UConn in making continuous improvements to practices and use of resources.
JED kicks off with an invitation to participate in the Healthy Minds Study Survey. The random students selected to participate in the survey, will be asked to share their attitudes, behaviors and awareness around mental health issues. This is a great opportunity for students to make their voices heard and influence changes.
Your input is needed! This survey will be sent out via email to UConn students on Monday, February 17 and closes on Friday, March 13, 2020.
Watch for more information on UConn and JED’s partnership in the coming weeks.
