Human Resources recognizes that some departments are experiencing an influx in the volume of work and modified business operations based on the impact of the coronavirus pandemic. To improve our current operations with the existing workforce, we will use staffing and work schedule variances. To do so, Human Resources is introducing an Employee Exchange Program to facilitate temporary staff exchanges across the University. This opportunity will allow managers to request additional support staff through an employee exchange during this unprecedented time.
Eligible employees will be identified in two ways: either managers will opt employees into the Program or Human Resources will identify employees. Upon identifying an employee, Human Resources will determine eligibility and coordinate participation with the appropriate manager. Human Resources will maintain a pool of eligible employee exchanges and will provide appropriate staff matches upon request.
