Student leaders in Community Outreach are coordinating a Fall Food Drive to give back to community organizations that are in need now, more than ever and invite you to participate.
Thus far, donations have been slim (as expected), due to the lack of traffic on campus. However, the people within our communities need our help. We are working with the following donation sites for this year’s initiative; Covenant Soup Kitchen, My Brother’s Keeper Food Pantry, and Manchester Area Conference of Churches (MACC) Food Pantry and Soup Kitchen.
We have extended the food drive until 11/19 in effort to collect a few more donations from our box locations on campus, right before Thanksgiving break. If you are on campus and would like to donate to one of our box locations, they can be found at; the Student Union Donation Box, across from the info center; Bousfield 106, located to the right wing in the administrative office section on the first floor; Family Studies Building 117, located in the middle of the central hallway on the first floor; and Wilbur Cross Room 203, located on the second floor in the Dean of Students Office.
We are also seeking support from direct offices/departments on campus who might be willing to come together to compile a box of canned goods for us to come pick up! All COVID- safe precautions will be taken of course. We will coordinate pick-up dates and times (before thanksgiving break) at your convenience. Please contact Student Leader Fiona Pare (email@example.com) or CO Graduate Assistant Jazmyn Matos (firstname.lastname@example.org) know if you and your colleagues are interested in being a significant part of this much needed initiative.
