Some of you may be aware that Dan Doerr, Director of Student Affairs Planning, Assessment and Evaluation will be leaving UConn at the end of this month as he has accepted a position as the Associate Auditor of Performance for the Auditor of Public Accounts. In his new role Dan will be overseeing staff that conduct performance audits and program evaluations on behalf of the State of Connecticut. While we are very happy for Dan, we will greatly miss his knowledge, expertise and steady hand overseeing the Division’s assessment and planning processes. In the time that Dan has been in his current role, he has instituted many processes to enhance the Division’s ability and capacity to do assessment and planning and more broadly, tell the Division’s story. Dan has always been willing to help colleagues across the Division refine the scope and focus of unit assessment work by offering insight, advice and perspective on how best to approach it. We are in a better place as a Division with assessment and planning because of the work he is done and the solid infrastructure he has built. Thank you Dan for the last eighteen years of service to the Division of Student Affairs. We wish you all the best as you embark on a new professional journey.
